Merry Christmas!
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God,
and the Word was God. John 1:1 (NKJV)
…Prepare the way of the Lord; Make straight in the desert a
highway for our God. Every valley shall be exalted and every mountain
and hill brought low; The crooked places shall be made straight And the
rough places smooth; The glory of the Lord shall be revealed, And all flesh shall see it together; For the mouth of the Lord has spoken…The grass withers,
the flower fades, but the word of our God stands forever. Isaiah 40:3-8 (NKJV)
Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall
conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel. Isaiah 7:14 (KJV)
Now in the sixth month the angel Gabriel was sent by God to a
city of Galilee named Nazareth, to a virgin betrothed to a man
whose name was Joseph, of the house of David. The virgin’s
name was Mary. And having come in, the angel said to her,
“Rejoice, highly favored one, the Lord is with you; blessed are you among women!”
But when she saw him, she was troubled at his saying, and
considered what manner of greeting this was. Then the angel said to her,
“Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son,
and shall call His name Jesus. He will be great, and will be called the
Son of the Highest; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David.
And He will reign over the house of Jacob forever, and of His
kingdom there will be no end.” Luke 1:26-33 (NKJV)
And it came to pass in those days, that there went out a decree
from Caesar Augustus that all the world should be taxed… And Joseph also
went up from Galilee, out of the city of Nazareth, into Judaea, unto the city of David,
which is called Bethlehem… To be taxed with Mary his espoused wife, being great with child. And so it was, that, while they were there, the days were
accomplished that she should be delivered. And she brought forth her firstborn son, and wrapped him in swaddling clothes, and laid him in a manger;
because there was no room for them in the inn. Luke 2:1-8 (KJV)
For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government
shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful,
Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father,
The Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6 (KJV)
And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings
of great joy, which shall be to all people. For unto you is
born this day in the city of David a Saviour,
which is Christ the Lord. Luke 9:10-11 (KJV)
Now when Jesus was born in Bethlehem of Judaea in the days of
Herod the king, behold, there came wise men from the east to Jerusalem,
Saying, Where is he that is born King of the Jews? for we have seen his star in the east, and are come to worship him. Matthew 2:1-2 (KJV)
…behold, the star which they had seen in the East went before them,
till it came and stood over where the young Child was. When they saw the star,
they rejoiced with exceedingly great joy. And when they had come
into the house, they saw the young Child with Mary His mother,
and fell down and worshiped Him. And when they had opened their treasures,
they presented gifts to Him: gold, frankincense, and myrrh. Matthew 2:9-11 (NKJV)
Now there were in the same country shepherds living out in the fields,
keeping watch over their flock by night. And behold, an angel of
the Lord stood before them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them,
and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them,
“Do not be afraid, for behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy
which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the city of David
a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. And this will be the sign to you:
You will find a Babe wrapped in swaddling cloths, lying in a manger.”
And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the
heavenly host praising God and saying:
“Glory to God in the highest,
And on earth peace, goodwill toward men!” Luke 2:8-19 (NKJV)
And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us,
(and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten
of the Father,) full of grace and truth. John 1:14 (KJV)
But when the fullness of the time had come, God sent forth His Son,
born of a woman, born under the law, to redeem those who were under the law, that we might receive the adoption as sons. Galatians 4:4-5 (NKJV)
For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life. John 3:16 (NKJV)
not by works of righteousness which we have done,
but according to His mercy He saved us, through the washing of
regeneration and renewing of the Holy Spirit, whom He poured out on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior, that having been
justified by His grace we should become heirs according
to the hope of eternal life.Titus 3:5-7 (NKJV)
